About Kinsley:
 Kinsley is a family-owned business that has evolved into one of the largest full-service construction management firms in the mid-Atlantic region. The present day-to-day activities are managed by second generation family executives and personnel who “grew up” in the business. Bob Kinsley, founder and CEO, is still very active in the company.
Kinsley Construction, Inc.:
Kinsley Construction was founded by Robert A. Kinsley in 1963. The company, incorporated in 1967, began as a subcontracting firm in the concrete trade. Two years later, site excavation and utility installation services were added to complement Kinsley’s expertise in flat and structural concrete construction. In the 1970s, the company entered the general contracting market, yet retained its own trades’ people. To this day, Kinsley still self-performs many of its projects’ major tasks.
Manufacturing  - Steel Fabrication and Erection:
During the company’s growth throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s Kinsley expanded its services to include steel erection and steel fabrication. Steel erection was added in 1972 to further expand Kinsley’s ability to self-perform the various aspects of building construction. The continued strategic growth of the company prompted Kinsley management to consider upstream supply chain integration to once again expand their service offerings by adding steel fabrication in 1987. This would not only complement and enhance their ability to self-perform steel erection, but would further leverage the overall benefits derived from their self-performance business model.
In 2003, Kinsley’s restructuring created functional divisions combining steel fabrication and steel erection into a single division entitled Kinsley Manufacturing. The culmination of the two trades into one division enabled Kinsley Manufacturing to begin effectively marketing itself to outside clients. Currently, the division continues to grow and be a formidable contender on all size projects as a
full-service structural steel fabricator and erector.
